Jersey Cares
Jersey Cares makes it easy for volunteers ages 4-17 and their families to participate in projects benefiting local schools and nonprofits. Jersey Cares Club - a service learning initiative where students learn to identify and address community needs. Campus Connect at the Volunteer Center of South Jersey is a mobile-friendly app to track your volunteer experiences. The Youth Workforce Development Program (YWD) is a Jersey Cares internship program that provides an opportunity for youth to create professional relationships and develop critical skills.
Bergen Volunteers
Teen Leads is a Bergen Volunteers program for high school students to learn about local government and public policy. Students analyze community issues and develop new approaches to problem solving. The program is designed to get students involved in their community to become effective community leaders. College Leads is also a Bergen Volunteers program for students to learn about local government and public policy. The students take a deep look into a compelling issue. They look at the many facets of the issues figuring out where their generation can take a stand and make an impact.
BookSmiles
BookSmiles is a South Jersey 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to provide free books to children living in underserved communities. Our Volunteer Opportunities include sorting books at our Pennsauken facility for individuals or families or holding book drives to collect books for children and adults and delivering them to our Book Bank.
Samaritan Hospice
SamariTeens at Samaritan Hospice - If you’re under 18 and are looking for ways to volunteer at Samaritan Hospice, SamariTeens is a group of 14-17 year olds providing on-going support to Samaritan’s patients and families through activities at long-term care facilities.
United Way of Northern New Jersey
United Way Varsity Letter Program recognizes high school students who have made an exceptional commitment to their community through volunteer work over a year. The program encourages students to pursue service opportunities that provide skills and leadership development, expand their interests, and give back to the community. Upon completion, students receive a Varsity Letter in Community Service and are recognized at an event hosted by United Way.
Community Food
Bank of New Jersey
Community Food Bank of New Jersey offers teen leadership programs for high school students around the state who are interested in refining leadership and advocacy skills, learning how to manage social media and fundraising campaigns, and planning youth service events.

Burlington County
Volunteer Center of Burlington County offers a number of ways that youth can get involved in community service across their region. Visit HERE for more information.
Red Cross Clubs
Red Cross Clubs engage volunteers in high school (13-17) are offered meaningful opportunities to learn and to serve their communities in New Jersey. Volunteers in college are also invited to participate in a Red Cross Club. Red Cross youth volunteers develop these skills and establish a sense of awareness by interacting with those in need.
LUCY Outreach
LUCY Outreach empowers local youth to become community leaders through educational, social, emotional and physical growth. For the upcoming school year, they are actively seeking volunteers for tutoring, mentoring, driving vans and meal prep support for our Afterschool and littles Program (ages 7-14). Looking for highly motivated, engaged volunteers open to working collaboratively within an inclusive, diversity community.
